Q. What do people mean when they say they are saved? A. You need to first believe that Jesus Christ really did exist, and that he died on the cross for us. You then need to pray to God that he will forgive you of your sins. The Bible says to repent (Luke 13:5), which means to turn away from sinful habits. The King James Bible says: “If thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10:9). Q. How do you get Baptized? A. Personally, I was Baptized in one of the local creeks. You can be Baptized anywhere there is a body of water, that you can be fully submerged in to. This is a way to be "born again & washed of your sins". This is a pic of me & Mike getting Baptized June 25, 2006
Q. How can I get my friends to get into church? A. Sometimes it's hard to convince your friends to come to church, but never give up on them. You don't want to harass them, but you do want to try to get your point across. The best thing you can do is just set an example. Let them see how good it is to be a Christian. You have to remember that people are always watching you, just for the fact that you are a Christian. They are just waiting for you to mess up, or sin.. so they can have a good laugh, or gossip. If this happens, just keep your head up, and remember that NO ONE is perfect. The only person to ever live that was perfect was Jesus! Q. Do I have to give up everything I enjoy? A. NO! You are supposed to be full of Joy, so if what you enjoy makes you happy, do it. Unless you have personal convictions on the matter. ( See question below) Q. What are "personal convictions"? A. Personal convictions are things that you know you aren't supposed to do, and God is trying to get you to stop doing. For example, mine are cussing & certain clothes. Some others are makeup & piercings. You will come across people in your life who will try to put their OWN convictions on you, this is wrong! Do not ever do that! Just because God tells one person they can't listen to Rock music, does NOT mean you can't. Like if I wear shorts that are just too short, I start to feel really guilty, almost sick to my stomach. That's God telling me it's not right for me. You should follow all of the 10 commandments ALWAYS, but the personal convictions are things that are different for each person.
If any of you ever have anything you would like to bring up about the church... like ideas, Youth Night activities, things that bother you within our church, let me know & I will do my best to express your concerns & ideas to the elders! It is your church too, so you do have a voice.. so speak up!

Christian Pickup Lines Nice Bible. I would like to pray with you. Do you know Jesus, me too. God told me to come talk to you. I know a church where we could go and talk. How about a hug, sister? Do you need help carrying your Bible? It looks heavy. Christians don't shake hands, Christians gotta hug. Oh you are cold, Ecclesiastes 4:11. Did it hurt when you fell from Heaven? What are your plans for tonight? Feel like a Bible study? I am here for you. The word says "Give drink to those who are thirsty, and feed the hungry," how about dinner? You don't have an accountability partner? Me neither. You want to come over and watch the 10 commandments tonight? Is it a sin that you stole my heart? Would you happen to know a Christian woman that I could love with all my heart and wait on hand and foot? Do you believe in Divine appointment? Have you ever tried praying at a drive in movie before? Excuse me, I believe one of your ribs belongs to me. My friend told me to come and meet you, he said that you are a really nice person. I think you know him. Jesus, yeah, that's his name. You know they say that you have never really dated, until you have dated a Christian.

We are hoping to recruit more Youth, and will have lots of learning & fun in store for you! Also, we have a new preacher, and I think you are really going to like him! His name is Billy Newton, and he is from Manchester, Ohio. He is very excited about getting the Youth involved in the church, and we are always looking for new ways to reward the ones we have! You might not feel important because you are a kid, but at our church you are just as good as anyone else. You will have the opportunity to do just as much as any of the adults, so do not let your age hold you back. We want you to be heard, so voice your opinions to your teachers! You can also have say-so on ideas for Bible School, Sunday School, Outings, Youth Night, and things like that. On our Youth Night YOU will get to lead the service! So come on out, and give it a try! Hope to see you there! |
I was recently asked this question: "Do Christians hug in church?" My answer is this: YES & NO. Our church is pretty affectionate, but if you don't feel comfortable hugging people you can always just reach out your hand, that way they know to shake your hand instead. There is nothing wrong with doing that, and I have actually had problems with showing other people affection, and also receiving it. I am slowly opening up though, and church is the one place that I do hug people. We have a small church so it's very easy to form close relationships with everyone in it. If you go to a large church it is hard to form the same kind of bonds. Some churches don't hug opposite sex people, only same sex. We don't all feel that way, and I look at everyone as equal. I am very comfortable with everyone at my church!
