I just wanted to take a moment out to tell you all about
a child I am sponsoring, thanks to Jimmy Dooley & his
wife, through World Vision.
This is a Christian based organization, and it is not a
fake. It only costs $30 a month, and it goes a long way
in the poor areas. They have children from all over the
world to pick from. Not only does the money go to
helping the child & their family with everyday needs,
they also are given the word of God. Most of these
children will never get another chance to hear about
Jesus. I pay more for each of my bills than I do for this.
Sow your seed, and you will be truly blessed!
My child's name is Telma, she was born July 20, 2004.
She is the same age as my daughter. She lives in
Honduras, which is in South America. She has 7
siblings, her father is a farmer, and her mother stays
home with the children. I chose her because my
husband was sent to Honduras while in the Marines.
He told me how poor it is there, and how rough people
have it compared to here.
People think I'm crazy, and ask me why I'm taking a risk
at sending money to something that could be fake. I
assure you this is not fake, and that's where faith
comes in. The bible teaches us to live by faith, and to
give to the poor. If God puts it on your heart to
sponsor a child, please do it. If not you will regret it,
and I know I would have. I had a huge burden lifted
when I stepped up & sponsored this little girl. If this
was all a big scam they would not make it possible for
you to go meet your sponsored child. If I ever get the
courage to fly, and have the money to go, I would love
to meet Telma.
