More info on our services & meetings:
Each service is open to everyone, even Sunday School.
During Sunday School the little ones ages birth-teens will go back to their own classrooms & be
taught age appropriate lessons.  Meanwhile, the adults will enjoy their own Sunday School
meeting, lead by Brother Ray Boone, and read over the monthly lessons together.  This is a great
time to share your thoughts & things that relate to the lesson!

The Worship Service  will immediately follow Sunday School.
The Sunday night meeting is similar to the Sunday morning service, but ends sooner.  Youth Group
meets during this service, more info on the Youth Night page.

The Wednesday Prayer Meeting/Bible Study is the night we get together to pray for each other, and
our loved ones, and to study God's Word.

All of these services contain Prayer, Music, Laughter, Tears, The Word, Testimony, and GREAT
Fellowship!
Offerings & Donations:
You do not have to give
anything during the offerings if
you do not want to.  We
understand that some of us just
can't afford to give much, and
that's just fine.  All that matters
is that you are here, and you are
part of our family!   If anyone
ever needs help financially
please let us know, and we will
do our best to help you in any
way possible.  None of us are
rich, and we all know what it's
like to have hard times!

Don't forget to check out the old
Bethlehem/Slickaway page on
the LINKS page.  I have added
photos, and information about
the pioneer church that was
located off of 763, on Stringtown
Rd., a.k.a. Slickaway.
Secret Sisters:
We do a Secret Sisters activity here, you do not have to join, but
it's a very rewarding experience!  We each fill out a paper,
stating our birthdays & anniversary's, also our favorites.  We
then get assigned a Secret Sister, whom you will be able to
secretly send cards to, or bring gifts for.
If you would like to do this please let us know at the end of each
year!

site, or have any questions

DIRECTIONS TO OUR FATHER'S HOUSE.....

Make a right onto "Believeth Blvd.. Keep
straight and go through the  Green Light, which
is Jesus Christ.

From there, you must turn onto the "Bridge of
Faith," which is over troubled waters. When you
get off the bridge, make a Right and  Keep
Straight. You are on the
"King's Highway" -- Heaven-Bound.

Keep going for three miles: One for the Father,
One for the Son and One for the Holy Spirit.

Exit off onto "Grace Blvd." From there, make a
Right turn on "Gospel Lane ." Keep straight and
then make another Right onto "Prayer Road ."

As you travel on your way, Yield Not to the traffic
on
"Temptation  Ave." Also, avoid "Sin Street"
because it is a DEAD END!! Pass up  "Envy
Drive," and "Hate Avenue." Also, pass
"Hypocrisy Road,"  "Gossiping Lane," and
"Backbiting Blvd."

However, you must go down "Long Suffering
Lane", "Persecution Street"  and "Trials and
Tribulations Avenue." But that's all right,
because  "VICTORY ROAD" is straight ahead !
Amen ! ! !!
On Fire For God

to be Baptized with us!  Any time you
want to be Baptized contact us, and
our preacher can Baptize you.  The
Baptism usually takes place at a local
creek.  (see Winter's page for an
example, off of the LINKS page)
The Old Mission Church
by Belinda van Rensburg

The air is hot and humid as we sit in the church pew,
the building's very old and nothing in it's new.
The walls are cracking; the alter cloth is stained,
and I'm sure that we'd get drenched if it should rain.

The roof is leaking but the preacher keeps on preaching;
A tired fan is squeaking and the rusty door is creaking.
The paint is peeling but the people are all kneeling;
pouring out their hearts to God with honesty and feeling.

I don't know the lingo but my spirit can discern,
that the congregation's here to worship and to learn.
Oh! How fortunate I feel as in this place I kneel,
for upon this mission church is God's approving seal

The History of July 4th

Independence Day in the U.S., is an annual
holiday commemorating the formal adoption by
the Continental Congress of the Declaration of
Independence on July 4, 1776, in Philadelphia.
Although the signing of the Declaration was not
completed until August, the Fourth of July
holiday has been accepted as the official
anniversary of U.S. independence and is
celebrated in all states and territories of the U.S.

The holiday was first observed in Philadelphia on
July 8, 1776, at which time the Declaration of
Independence was read aloud, city bells rang,
and bands played. It was not declared a legal
holiday, however, until 1941. The Fourth is
traditionally celebrated publicly with parades and
pageants, patriotic speeches, and organized
firing of guns and cannons and displays of
fireworks; early in the 20th century public
concern for a "safe and sane" holiday resulted in
restrictions on general use of fireworks. Family
picnics and outings are a feature of private
Fourth of July celebrations.

We gather ‘round to celebrate
On Independence Day
Pay homage to our country
As the children run and play.

With barbecues and picnics
And fireworks in the air
The flag we own is proudly flown
To show how much we care.

The stars and stripes spell freedom
She waves upon the breeze
While bursts of colors can be seen
Above the towering trees.

This is all quite wonderful
We revel in delight
But God above in divine love
Has brought this day to light.

With just a stroke of liberty
A touch of His great hand
He gave democracy to us
And helped this country stand.

The stripes upon our stately flag
Were touched by His sweet grace
Each star of white that shines so bright
Reflects His loving face.

So as you turn to face the flag
For battles that were fought
Be filled with pride for those who died
And freedoms that were bought.

But don’t forget to thank the One
Who gives the bright display
The reason why we paint the sky
On Independence Day
“Democracy is the government of the
people, by the people, for the people”
~Abraham Lincoln
"Worry does not empty tomorrow of it's
sorrow, it empties today of it's strength."
Happy Independence
Day!
One Nation Under God we live
Think about all some had to give

We the people share freedom’s life
In a world of ever present strife

Be grateful to those who keep this true
Warriors of our red, white, and blue

They're trained by those of great skill
Honed to perform, so strong their will

They show what love is all about
They’ll fight for us, there is no doubt

Defending bravely what we are
No holding back each heartfelt star

Highly praise these men and women
Giving thanks time and again

Those in uniform will always be
The golden pride of this country
This, then, is the state of the union:  free and
restless, growing and full of hope.  So it was in
the beginning.  So it shall always be, while
God is willing, and we are strong enough to
keep the faith.  ~Lyndon B. Johnson
